Job title : Junior Software Engineer - AI Platform Location : San Francisco, California, United States - Hybrid Contract type : Direct Hire Contract duration : Full Time Salary : $130,000 - $140,000 per year About the role Join our clients, an innovative tech company, as a Junior Software Engineer in their Platform team focused on AI and computer vision technology to enhance workplace safety. You will work on building real-time perception systems essential for industrial safety. By focusing on exciting technology, you will develop infrastructures for video ingestion and processing across both edge devices and cloud solutions. Responsibilities Contribute to the development of real-time perception and computer vision systems Design and deploy distributed video ingestion and processing systems on edge devices and cloud infrastructure Develop and maintain cloud APIs, access control systems, and backend services Implement low-latency event detection, real-time alerts, and historical video analytics Collaborate with machine learning engineers and product teams to bring models into production Requirements Must be located within a 50-mile radius of San Francisco, California, United States 0-2 years of experience in backend software engineering with containerized microservices architecture Experience with distributed event processing using Flink, Kafka, or Kinesis Experience using infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform) and cloud providers (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Experience deploying containerized workloads using Kubernetes Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship.
