About the Role Hall Prangle is seeking to hire a full-time experienced Legal Nurse Consultant in its Las Vegas office who has at least five (5) years’ experience as a litigation paralegal (knowledge of healthcare law/medical malpractice is a plus). The Legal Nurse Consultant will work alongside attorneys during all phases of the litigation process, from the initiation of a case through trial. The right candidate will be skilled and hard-working as well as pleasant and personable. Billable Responsibilities (Billable hours goal of 1,500 hours per year) Review and analyze medical records, pre-existing or co-existing medical conditions, billings, notes of physicians and nurses, charts, pleadings, discovery, deposition transcripts, and insurance documents. Conduct medical research to translate and interpret medical/nursing terms, diagnoses, and treatment plans; outline relevant deviations and adherences to Standards of Care. Evaluate strengths and weaknesses of medical evidence and identify exclusions, oversights and discrepancies. Organize and prepare outlines and narrative summaries of digested medical records for presentation to clients and for use during depositions/trial. Educate attorneys regarding relevant medical issues. Assist with the preparation of demonstrative evidence for trial. Assist with preparation for and support during deposition and trial. Process authorizations requesting medical/collateral source records. Work with expert witnesses including assisting them in preparation of trial. What You Will Need to Succeed
