Pay Type: Hourly plus commission, bi-weekly.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 40 hours per week, with available overtime.

Company Truck: Bobtail.

Work Location: 2581 Coffeytown Road, Cottage Grove, WI 53527.

LP/Propane Delivery Driver, Class B CDL - Essential Responsibilities:

ALCIVIA is looking for a LP/Propane Delivery Driver to provide efficient and timely delivery to members while maintaining delivery vehicles, building customer relationships, and always putting safety first. As a LP/Propane Delivery Driver, you will be driving a Bobtail truck within our local routes and be home every night; however, on-call rotations for afterhours and weekend emergency deliveries may be needed.

• Obtain daily local routes/driver tickets from your computer within your Bobtail truck
• Daily on-time delivery of liquid propane (LP) to member tanks at homes, businesses, and farms
• Filling up LP tanks by unwinding the delivery hose and walking the delivery hose over to the tank, monitor tank and make safety inspections of the tank and surrounding of the tank, connect delivery hose to tank, and wind-up delivery hose back to the Bobtail truck
• Oversee and maintain the safety of customer systems and equipment/tanks
• Build strong, positive, and long-lasting customer relationships
• Perform required pre-trip daily vehicle inspections and maintenance
• Maintain and care for delivery vehicle, ensuring regular preventative maintenance
• Maintain accurate delivery and customer records and enter in the records in the computer within your Bobtail truck
• Support onsite customer tank maintenance
• Help market and sell products and services
• Keep cab and cargo doors locked when not in use
• Never use cell phones or other handheld devices while driving
• Drive defensively, slowly, and safely at all times
• Support cross-divisional collaboration whenever possible
• Help out in other areas of the business as bandwidth allows
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

LP/Propane Delivery Driver, Class B CDL - Required Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous LP/Propane Delivery experience preferred
• Class A or B CDL is required
• Clean driving record required
• Tanker and Hazmat endorsements required (will help obtain)
• Maintain a professional appearance of self and for the cooperative
• Operate trucks in a safe manner, obeying all traffic laws, and using defensive driving techniques
• Excellent customer service
• Positive attitude and approach to problem solving
• Good computer and technology skills
• Good written and verbal and communication
• Self-directed and focuses on taking action
• Ability to identify objectives and recommend the best solutions
• Possess a strong set of core values and beliefs

• Must be able to sit and drive for long periods of time
