The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Regional State Senior Government Affairs Manager, you will leverage your curiosity and collaborate with innovative teams worldwide. Your impact includes: Representing the company before, interacting with, and lobbying state and local governments in your region. Participating in and representing 3M’s positions on trade associations like state Chambers of Commerce and Manufacturing Associations. Drafting testimony, responses, comments, and research to support the state and local government affairs agenda. Monitoring legislative activity and reporting on issues relevant to 3M’s interests. Collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop policies and strategies to advance our agenda. Engaging with national organizations of legislators, governors, attorneys general, and others to strengthen relationships and promote legislative goals. Managing consultants and administrative tasks within your region. Minimum Qualifications To succeed from day one, you need: Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution. At least 8 years of experience as a legislative aide, state government employee, contract lobbyist, or related role in private, public, or military sectors. Additional Qualifications Preferred skills include: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently. Work Location & Travel Remote, within IL, WI, CO, MO, IN, MI, or OH. Travel up to 20% domestically. Relocation may be supported. Additional Information The salary range for US applicants is $212,947 - $260,268, plus potential benefits.
