Job Description

Seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide essential support in both educational and healthcare settings within an elementary school environment in Atwater, CA. This full-time contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to work closely with young learners, assisting their communication development through carefully designed group and individual activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide speech and language support to preschool and elementary-aged students within small groups of 2-4 children, as well as 1:1 sessions when needed.
• Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists to implement therapy plans and progress monitoring.
• Support students during both the regular school year (CSY), extended school year (ESY), and non-school year (NSY) programs.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and therapy activities.
• Adapt therapy approaches to meet the unique needs of each student.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid California Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) certification.
• Experience working with pediatric populations in educational or healthcare settings, preferably in schools.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage young children effectively.
• Ability to manage groups and individual therapy sessions with patience and positivity.
• Reliable and committed to maintaining consistent attendance from ASAP through June 6, 2025.

Schedule and Location:

• Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
• Located in Atwater, California within an elementary school environment.
