This role involves working within a team of Systems Engineers, Software Engineers, and Intel Analysts supporting DCO (Defensive Cyber Operations) activities, providing technical writing expertise. Teams perform end-to-end vulnerability assessments of weapons systems and develop mitigation strategies and technical recommendations to defend systems from cyber threats. Job Location: Annapolis Junction, MD Responsibilities include: Supporting DCO activities with technical documentation and reports. Interpreting and modifying system engineering drawings and specifications. Managing project documentation, notes, and updates. Supporting the vetting and definition of project requirements through collaboration. Entering technical data into relational databases and uploading content onto websites. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in STEM + 4 years of technical writing experience, or high school + 6 years of relevant experience supporting system engineering teams. Proficient with Microsoft Office or equivalent tools. Ability to synthesize technical information for diverse audiences. Experience with engineering and project lifecycle documentation. Experience working with mission delivery departments and engineering teams. Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph. Desired skills: Vulnerability assessment reporting experience. Background in cyber security or handling documentation for weapons/space systems.
