Job Title: Tool Room Machinist
Job Description
As a Tool Room Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts, fixtures, and work holdings. You may also fabricate and modify parts to make or repair products by applying your knowledge of shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.
Responsibilities
Set up, adjust, and operate basic and advanced machine tools for precision machining operations.
Position and fasten workpieces and align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, and other materials according to specifications.
Calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematics and precision instruments such as micrometers and gauges.
Read and interpret blueprints and gauging sheets to ensure accurate production of parts.
Create blueprints for fixtures and tooling as necessary.
Monitor machine and tooling performance to ensure proper operation.
Operate hoists to load parts onto machining centers, lathes, or mills.
Efficiently dismantle setups by cleaning fixtures and returning gauges.
Essential Skills
2+ years of experience with tooling knowledge on manual machines.
5+ years of experience in blueprint reading, setup, and machining.
Proficient in inspection, troubleshooting, G code programming, and machine setup.
Experience with Fanuc, Mazak, and Haas systems.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Some CNC experience is a plus.
General knowledge of tooling speeds and feed rates.
Experience with manual mills/lathes, drill presses, sanders, and other support equipment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00/hr.
