Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finish Manager with expertise in lacquer-based stains and paints. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the finishing department, ensuring top-quality workmanship, meeting deadlines, and maintaining compliance with safety and environmental standards. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
Key Responsibilities
Finish Operations Management
- Oversee daily operations of the finishing department, including application of lacquer-based stains, paints, and finishes.
- Ensure all finishes meet company quality standards and client specifications.
- Maintain an organized workflow to meet production schedules and due dates.
Technical Expertise
- Custom match paints and stains to exact specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues with spray equipment.
- Implement and maintain proper procedures for the safe disposal of paint and lacquer waste in compliance with regulations.
Leadership & Team Collaboration
- Lead, train, and mentor team members to enhance skills and productivity.
- Foster a positive, cooperative, and safety-focused work environment.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth project flow.
Organization & Compliance
- Keep accurate records of materials, colors, and project timelines.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety and environmental policies.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and equipment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience with lacquer-based stains and paints.
- Strong ability to custom match paints and stains.
- Knowledge of proper disposal methods for paint and lacquer waste.
- Mechanical aptitude for spray equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Self-motivated with a proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Work Schedule
- Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Overtime and weekends as needed to meet project demands.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: $25 – $30 per hour, based on experience.
- Benefits: Holiday pay, insurance coverage, and paid vacation.
- Opportunities for overtime pay.
