The YMCA Calomiris branch is looking for a passionate Program Director to lead, inspire, and grow programs that strengthen our community— with a strong focus on School Age Child Care (SACC) and youth development! About the Role: As the Program Director, you’ll oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of key youth and family programs—including before and after school care (SACC) , camps, enrichment activities, and more. You’ll supervise a talented team, build strong relationships with families and community partners, and ensure high-quality, mission-driven programming aligned with YMCA values. What You’ll Be Doing: Leading the day-to-day operations of School Age Child Care programs and other youth-focused initiatives Managing and mentoring program staff with energy, creativity, and accountability Enhancing and growing high-quality programs that support youth development and healthy living Building partnerships with schools, families, and community organizations Ensuring all programs meet licensing, safety, and quality standards You Are: A mission-driven leader with a heart for youth and family programming Experienced in managing SACC or similar childcare/youth programs Skilled in staff supervision, program design, and relationship-building A strong communicator, both written and verbal Able to manage multiple priorities and problem-solve in real time Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in education, recreation, social services, or related field (or equivalent experience) 2+ years of program management experience, preferably in School Age Child Care or youth-serving environments CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire) Must meet all licensing and background check requirements Salary & Benefits: Salary: $48,000–$52,000/year (commensurate with experience) YMCA membership and program discounts Ongoing professional development and training A supportive, mission-driven team that values your leadership Ready to lead with purpose and help youth thrive?
