Welcome to St Paschal Library
St Paschal Library Closure Period:
Thursday 27 September – Saturday 6 October 2018
The lighting in St Paschal Library is to be renewed. Staff and all who use St Paschal Library are enormously grateful to the Franciscans for their generosity in resourcing this major renovation of the lighting, which was installed around 1970. This notice is to let you know that St Paschal Library will be closed for the duration of the electrical work: 27 September - 6 October 2018, re-opening on Monday 8 October at 9.00 a.m.
Library Resources For Research, Essays and Assignments
We encourage UD/YTU students to visit St Paschal Library in the weeks before the closure to make use of the resources before the Library is closed. From Saturday 15 September, all YTU/UD students may borrow up to TEN books per enrolled subject and keep them until Friday 12 October.
THE RESERVE COLLECTION will be made available for use during the Library’s closure in Classroom 1, upstairs at YTU.
This is an advance notice: further details of particular Library arrangements will be made available soon via ARK, and via St Paschal Library’s website. Should you have any questions, please ask Miranda Fyfield and staff in St Paschal Library.
St Paschal Library is the provincial library of the Order of Friars Minor, Holy Spirit Province, Australia. It is the main resource centre for Franciscan studies within Australia.
St Paschal Library is also open to interested members of the public.
The library houses a number of specialised collections. In 1988 the Society of the Divine Word (SVD) amalgamated its Missiology collection into St Paschal Library, and in 1995 the YTU collection was integrated. As the purpose of the three bodies is towards the education of Catholic clergy and laity, the combination enriches the overall collection.
