Job Description

Seeking a senior SQL and PowerBI Dashboard/Visualization Developer (DAX, Power Query, data modeling) to create and own delivery/reporting/storytelling for business stakeholders in CX (Customer Experience). The data involves website traffic, conversion rates, retention, customer persona/segmentation. Youll need strong native SQL to extract retention, revenue, traffic, and persona data from Adobe datasets, build dashboards, and deliver the story to executives at our client, a global SaaS firm located downtown SF. This role is 30% SQL and 70% PowerBI/stakeholder delivery.

• 📆 9-month contract through 07/31/2026
• 🌎 Remote/WFH but PST working hours (9am-5pm)
• Capstone contributes $250/month towards your medical premium when you participate in our employer plan (many Blue Shield/Kaiser plans to select from). Dental plans and a Roth IRA are available. Sick/PTO is earned depending on your locale.

Were looking for an experienced and detail-oriented analyst to work closely with Product Managers, UX Researchers, and crossfunctional partners leveraging your expertise in Power BI, SQL, and web analytics to design and deliver highquality dashboards, reporting solutions, and insights that enable datadriven decisionmaking. You will understand and translate business needs into scalable data solutions, ensuring business stakeholders can act on clear, accurate, and actionable insights. This is a hybrid role based in downtown San Francisco.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related).
• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or reporting roles.
• Proven expertise in Power BI (including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling).
• Proficiency in SQL for querying, joining, and validating large datasets.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into businessfriendly insights.
• Demonstrated ability to work crossfunctionally and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Experience with web analytics platforms (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics).

Responsibilities:

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs, translate them into technical requirements, and deliver scalable solutions.
• Build, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports to track KPIs, monitor performance, and surface insights across the digital customer lifecycle.
• Perform deepdive analyses on customer behavior and business performance, identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure data integrity and reliability by working with data engineering and IT teams on data pipelines, new data system integrations, and validation processes.
• Act as a subject matter expert in Power BI, providing guidance, training, and support to business teams.
• Communicate insights effectively through data storytelling, presentations, and visualizations that influence strategy and operations.
• Build and manage relationships with crossfunctional stakeholders, including senior leaders, to align on priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
• Support ongoing automation of reporting processes to improve efficiency and scalability.

Preferred Requirements:

• Knowledge of ETL processes and automated reporting pipelines.
• Familiarity with data governance, security, and quality best practices.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to improve efficiency and problemsolving.
• Strong ability to tell datadriven stories that influence decisionmaking.
• Prior experience collaborating with UX/UI designers, product managers, or researchers.
