MAHONING COUNTY BOARD OF DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES

JOB OPENING

POSITION: Custodian

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
(include but not limited to the following):

* High School Diploma or GED.

* Knowledge of custodial practices.

* Skill in operating cleaning and other equipment, and their procedures
* Familiarity with and ability to utilize hand and power tools.

* Familiarity with the proper use of chemicals.

* Ability to work on ladders or elevated platforms not to exceed 10' in height.

* Ability to engage others with understanding and empathy.

* Must be flexible with a positive attitude.

* Routinely able to lift 50 lbs.

DUTIES (include but not limited to the following):

* Housekeeping, custodial care and cleaning of building

* Maintenance of grounds

* General maintenance of building

* Electrical, plumbing and carpentry maintenance

* Report need for equipment or physical plant repairs.

* Check stock, supplies and keep record as needed.

* Perform other duties as described in the position description.

DEPARTMENT: Maintenance

WORK DAYS/HOURS: Monday - Friday 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

SALARY: As Per Schedule


In addition to the requirements listed above, the following qualifications shall be considered in evaluating an applicant for possible employment for this position: an applicant's varied work-experience; one's training and/or education; and, one's adaptability to work with children and/or adults with developmental disabilities. Maintain valid driver's license in state of residence and maintain a clean driving abstract.
